7 Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. Essential cookies are always on; non-essential cookies load only if you accept them using our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors find and use our website — for example which pages are viewed, the approximate location derived from your IP address (which Google does not store in full), and the type of device and browser used. This helps us improve the site. We have configured Google Analytics for site measurement only, with Google Signals and advertising personalisation turned off, so it is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor — see Google’s privacy policy. We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure the performance of our marketing. If you decline cookies, neither of these loads.

You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly.

8 Disclosures & international transfers

Other than the analytics providers described in section 7 (Google and LinkedIn), we do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Where those providers process data outside the UK or European Economic Area, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9 Data security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We limit access to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know, and they may only process your data on our instructions, subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator where we are legally required to do so.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process it, and the applicable legal requirements.

You will not usually have to pay a fee to access your data or exercise any other right. We may need to request specific information to confirm your identity before responding, as a security measure. We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month; occasionally it may take longer if your request is particularly complex or you have made several requests, in which case we will keep you updated.
