The bonded retainer, also referred to as the fixed retainer is a permanent wire retainer that is bent according to the contours of the teeth and bonded to the lingual/palatal surface of the anterior teeth. It is designed to ensure that the post-treatment positions of the teeth are retained.
Our bonded retainers come with a fabricated low-profile positioning jig. These are designed to assist the clinician and hold the wire in situ whilst they are bonded into place.
