We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This notice explains how we look after it, and sets out your rights and how the law protects you.

Last updated 25 May 2018.

Bridge Dental Laboratory Limited (“Bridge Dental Lab”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the controller responsible for your personal data. This notice applies when you visit our website and when you are a customer of ours.

1 Who we are

Bridge Dental Laboratory Limited is the controller and responsible for your personal data. We hope you won’t have any concerns, but we’d appreciate the chance to address them before you approach the regulator, so please contact us first.

You also have the right to complain at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues, at www.ico.org.uk.

2 Changes & your duty to inform us

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your relationship with us.

3 Third-party links

This website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

4 The data we collect about you

Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal and non-personal data, including but not limited to:

  • Name
  • Company name
  • Telephone & email
  • Home address
  • Date of birth
  • Invoice history
  • Appliance ordered
  • Technical & usage data

Technical data may include your IP address, web browser type and version, operating system, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data relating to your use of our website.

5 How is your personal data collected?

We use different methods to collect data from and about you:

  • Direct interactions — you may give us your details by subscribing to our blog, filling in forms, or corresponding with us by post, phone, email or otherwise.
  • Automated technologies — as you interact with our website, we may automatically collect technical data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, using cookies and similar technologies.
  • Third parties or public sources — we may receive personal data about you from analytics providers such as Google.

6 How we use your personal data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use it:

  • Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into, or have entered into, with you.
  • Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
  • Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

Generally we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing, other than for sending third-party direct marketing communications by email or text. You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us.

7 Cookies

You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly.

8 Disclosures & international transfers

We do not share your personal data with third parties or transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

9 Data security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We limit access to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know, and they may only process your data on our instructions, subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator where we are legally required to do so.

10 Data retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process it, and the applicable legal requirements.

11 Your legal rights

Under certain circumstances, you have the following rights under data protection law in relation to your personal data:

  • Request access to your data
  • Request correction
  • Request erasure
  • Object to processing
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Request transfer of your data
  • Withdraw consent

You will not usually have to pay a fee to access your data or exercise any other right. However, we may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse to comply, if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. We may need to request specific information to confirm your identity before responding, as a security measure. We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month; occasionally it may take longer if your request is particularly complex or you have made several requests, in which case we will keep you updated.
