Zendura FLX retainers with an elastomeric inner core for flexibility and a hard outer shell for grip. Handles rotation, extrusion and protects against grinding.
Zendura FLX is a tri-layer material for clear aligners and retainers — a soft elastomeric core for comfort, wrapped in tough outer shells for grip and durability. Independent lab testing shows what that combination delivers.
Tear strength measures how well the material withstands tearing forces. Zendura FLX's tri-layer build gives it far higher tear strength than mono-layer plastics — 64% stronger than CA Pro and 500% stronger than Essix ACE — so it stands up to repeated insertion and removal.
Higher is better ↑ · tear strength (N/mm)Most aligner plastics hit the teeth with a high initial force that fades fast. Zendura FLX starts gentler — the lowest initial force of the materials tested — and holds onto it, retaining 56.8% after 24 hours. Lower starting force means less stress on the teeth and more comfort for patients.
Lower is better ↓ · initial force on the teeth (g)Elastic recovery is how well the material returns to its original shape after being flexed. At 82%, Zendura FLX recovers far better than other retainer plastics — so it keeps its fit and keeps working across the wear period.
Higher is better ↑ · elastic recovery after 24h (%)Zendura FLX is a tri-layer material: a soft elastomeric core sandwiched between two tough outer shells. The core flexes for comfort and shape memory; the shells grip the teeth and resist wear — giving you flexibility and durability in one appliance.
