Relines, tooth additions & alterations — by dentist's prescription
We repair and clean dentures directly for the public, but relines, adding teeth, and other alterations must be prescribed by a dentist. Bring a written prescription with you, or ask your dental practice to send the case to us — we work with practices across the UK every day.
How we repair a broken denture
A snapped or cracked denture is far more than a glue job. Here's how our technicians bring it back to full strength — usually within the hour.
Clean & temporarily rejoin
We clean the crack and temporarily fix the pieces back together, so we can check the fit of the repair before committing to it.
Pour the plaster model
Once we're happy with the fit, we pour a plaster base and seat the denture into it, capturing its exact position.
Re-break & trim
Once the plaster is dry we lift the denture off the model and re-break it, then trim back the acrylic around the affected area.
Refill with new acrylic
Fresh denture acrylic is packed into the prepared break and seated back down onto the model to check the fit is spot on.
Cure under pressure
The denture goes into the pressure pot to cure the new acrylic to full, solid strength.
Trim & polish
Finally we trim back the excess and polish the join to a smooth, high shine — and that's the repair complete.
