Common questions

Before you send a case

Everything you need to know about scans, timelines, attachments and revisions.

What scans or impressions do you need?

We need upper and lower scans or impressions, plus as much information about the case as possible — current concerns, the patient's desired result, and any clinical notes that'll help us plan the right movement.

Digital scans are preferred where possible — they produce the most accurate treatment plans and come with free 3D printed models.

How long until I see the treatment plan?

Your treatment plan will be ready within 3 working days of receiving a case. The plan includes detailed images of each arch, a time-lapse showing the planned movement, and specific instructions for interproximal reduction and attachment placement where needed.

What happens if I need to change the plan?

Just let us know before approving. If you want to change treatment duration, adjust for patient tolerance, or if the patient has changed their mind — please specify these requests before approval and we'll revise the plan accordingly.

You approve the plan via email or phone once you're happy. No trays are printed until we have that approval.

What's included when the aligners arrive?

Each batch contains up to 4 sets of aligners (the default maximum). For cases that require bonded composite attachments on certain teeth — as defined in the treatment plan — we also supply an attachment template to make chairside placement straightforward.

You'll receive the aligners within 7 working days from approval.

Do you offer revisions if treatment doesn't go to plan?

Yes. Relapsing and resetting revisions are a normal part of clear aligner treatment, and we handle these on a case-by-case basis — always considering what's best for the patient.

Revision trays required after the full treatment are offered at 50% off per tray.

Who designs the treatment plan?

Every treatment plan is prepared by an experienced BDL technician using state-of-the-art treatment-planning software. We don't outsource or auto-generate plans — a real technician reviews every case, plans the movement, and flags anything that needs your attention before we proceed.
