A variation on a standard design
Different thickness, extra coverage, special clasps, or a material change to an appliance we already make.
Our website shows the appliances we make most often — but it's far from everything. Almost every case we handle is bespoke. If you need a specific appliance that isn't listed, tell us what you're after (or the problem you're trying to solve) and our technicians will help design and make it to your prescription.
A few of the bespoke requests we handle regularly — this list isn't exhaustive, so just ask.
Different thickness, extra coverage, special clasps, or a material change to an appliance we already make.
Less common occlusal, TMD and repositioning designs — tell us the technique you work to.
Send the spec, a photo, or the old appliance itself and we'll reproduce or improve on it.
Difficult anatomy, combined functions, or a design that doesn't fit any standard category.
Additions, relines, clasps or adjustments to an existing appliance, by prescription.
Developing a technique or product? We'll help prototype it with digital design and 3D printing.
Custom appliances are made to a registered dentist's written prescription. For anything specialist or unusual, we'll talk it through and confirm what's achievable before we start — no guesswork.
The same straightforward process, whatever you're asking for.
A description, a sketch, a photo, or the existing appliance — whatever you have.
Digital from any major scanner, or post an impression — whichever your practice prefers.
We confirm what's possible, the materials, turnaround and price before any work begins.
Designed and built in our Dorset lab, checked, and returned to you ready to fit.
A family-run, GDC-registered and DAMAS-accredited lab — we've made a lot of unusual appliances over the years.
A full digital workflow with 3D printing sits alongside hand skills, so we can tackle designs other labs turn down.
If something won't work as asked, we'll say so and suggest an alternative — rather than make something that fails.
Tell us about the appliance you need — send a scan, a photo or a description, and we'll take it from there.
