soft EVA

Medical-grade ethyl-vinyl acetate, the same material used in dental retainers and many sports gumshields.

3 months

warranty period

Covered for 3 months from delivery, subject to fair wear and tear. Soft materials wear faster than hard, hence the shorter period.

Features

Why choose the soft nightguard

Comfort-focused

EVA cushions the bite — typically the most comfortable nightguard for first-time patients adapting to wearing a splint.

Mild bruxism

Best suited to mild bruxism or grinding. Heavy clenchers should consider hard or soft-hard alternatives.

Quick adaptation

The flexible material is forgiving on the gums and easier to insert and remove than rigid alternatives.

Easy to clean

Cold water rinse plus a soft toothbrush keeps it clean. Soak in Retainer Brite once a week.

Single arch

Made for upper or lower — whichever your patient finds more comfortable to wear at night.

5 day turnaround

Standard turnaround is 5 working days. Silver (+50%) and Gold (+100%) express services available.

FAQ

Questions about the soft nightguard

What is a soft nightguard used for?
A soft nightguard is a flexible EVA bite guard for patients with mild bruxism or occasional grinding and clenching. It cushions the teeth at night and is the easiest type of splint for first-time wearers to adapt to.
Soft or hard nightguard — which is better for grinding?
Soft guards suit mild grinding; heavier grinders usually need a hard or dual-laminate (soft/hard) splint, which resists wear far better. See our guide to hard vs soft nightguards.
How long does a soft nightguard last?
With good care, typically 12–24 months depending on grinding severity. Soft EVA wears faster than hard acrylic, which is why we cover soft guards for 3 months against manufacturing faults.
